Marketing Analyst
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Marketing Analyst reports to the Media Director and is a key contributor to reporting strategy and the preparation, analysis and delivery of insights encompassing media, web analytics and other various data sets. Additionally, the Marketing Analyst will assist with in-platform strategic media buying, as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analytics
- Adopt an active role in the development of campaign measurement strategies and KPIs for clients across a wide range of industries
- Extract, clean and compile data from multiple sources, while maintaining strict standards for data quality and accuracy
- Design, develop and maintain client-facing reports and dashboards to visualize and clearly represent key trends and patterns
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to develop data-driven insights and recommendations that can be used for performance optimizations and identification of opportunities to deliver additional value to our clients
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support complex requests as they are presented by the business and its clients
- Document success in order to make wins repeatable and improve efficiency and performance
- Support media and account teams in developing internal and client deliverables
Programmatic Media Buying
- Work with campaign stakeholders to develop a buying strategy for each campaign, including ad formats, user targeting, SSPs, bid strategy, etc.
- Flawlessly set up and launch programmatic campaign buys, analyze performance and maintain ongoing optimizations
- Work to ensure campaigns meet and exceed KPI goals
- Troubleshoot and resolve campaign performance and delivery issues
- Communicate with third-party vendors to create custom audience segments and Private Marketplace Deals
- Provide ongoing reporting and insights, as needed
General
- Work with the integrated Communications team to develop and test new tactics to better target users and improve overall ROI
- Identify and nurture expertise in a desired area of interest in the analytics and/or adtech space (ex: reporting platforms, media platforms, etc.)
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Media Director regarding all facets of job responsibility
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (ex: data science, mathematics, business, marketing, advertising and/or technology)
- 1-3 years of experience working in analytics, marketing, advertising or related role
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters and pivot tables
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Sustain prolonged periods of being stationary at a desk and working on a computer
Ideal Qualifications:
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Google Data Studio, Adobe Analytics, Demand Side Platforms (DSP) and/or other various marketing platforms
- Certification or expertise in analytics platforms (ex: Google Analytics)
- Familiarity with visualization tools (ex: Tableau)
